Hüsker Dü - Land Speed Record (1982, New Alliance Records)
Some of you might have noticed I left out Land Speed Record from last night’s discussion of Everything Falls Apart and the early Hüsker Dü singles. 
Although Everything Falls Apart serves as the band’s first studio full-length, Land Speed Record, an album of live recordings, was actually the first true Hüsker Dü full-length LP.
Land Speed Record functions better as a museum piece chronicling the amphetamine-fueled characteristics of the band’s early hardcore punk stylings than an actual fully-conceptualized “album”; as such, considering the time constraints of the week, I’m giving the album a brief shout-out here, especially for the beautiful cover art.  High-res
